I began reading Romance in high school and dreamed about becoming a writer one day. After taking a detour through the business world and having a family, the opportunity to finally stop dreaming and start doing presented itself, and I've never looked back. Being a small-town Southern girl, however, I decided to add elements to my stories I had always missed with other books, no matter how much I may have loved them. I wanted strong alpha men who could charm the pants off of a woman with a more quiet confidence in public, and who saved his chest thumping for private. In my heroines, I promised to never craft a limp wristed, fall when she's getting chased by the bad guy damsel in distress. My women would be strong, even if they were strong in the broken places.
